Beginning Your Therapy Journey as a New Year’s Resolution

Every January, many of us begin the year with things we want to do differently. I have friends who tell me their resolutions for the new year consist of losing weight to being a better individual. It does not matter what your resolutions consist of; by June, most are replaced with vacations, hanging out by the pool, and enjoying the warm days of summer.

While we are reflecting on changes we want to make, what a better time to commit to lifelong change by working with a therapist who can travel with you down the road and help you get past the hurdles that get in your way. From feeling anxious or sad to not getting along with coworkers or feeling isolated from the year of Covid, there is no better time to start your journey. Telepsychiatry is now at our fingertips, and you don’t even have to leave your home. For others, getting out of the house might be needed to make those changes you have been considering for the past few weeks.
